Stalls are well spaced for safe browsing, and each stall has sanitizer for your use on hands, as well as at the Market Information Station.

The Mad Mullum Mob

Free Event Celebrating seniors week with a song, a smile and a story ,the folk from the Mad Mullum Mob will have you laughing and singing along to well known tunes of yesteryear. Locally born yet Nationally recognized award winning bush poet Ray Essery recounts joyful memories from growing up in the rainbow region. Byron Bays Lil Gypsy Kathryn Jones has a voice of an angel & is known to be quite a scallywag, Slim Pickens completes the picture with his warm voice serenading with old timey tunes.

Diving back into the north coast’s live music scene, Ballina’s favourite Lil Gypsy, Kathryn Jones, nets a tasty catch hauling in a star-studded line up to the ever-green lawns of the Shaws Bay Hotel Sat 20th March. International master pedal steel player Michelle Rose features alongside Award winning Fiddler Mick Albeck & Hamish Dutton. Well respected bassist/producer to the stars Rod Coe and Ex Round Mountain Girls percussionist Rex Carter complete the band. Multi Award winning roots artist/producer Slim Pickens opens the show with his laid back, bluesy roots and Kathryn rounds up the afternoon performing her award-winning originals. By the Bay will see patrons enjoying the many genres that come under the umbrella of country. “Many people have a set idea of what country music sounds like and although there are specific genres that cover subjects like utes, broken hearts and my dog up and left me, I wish to expose the broader array of styles that exist in this colourful, fast growing genre” says Kathryn excitedly. From Bluegrass, Swing and Cajun, to folk, blues and honky tonk, there’s something for everyone. Kathryn’s most recent album Lil Gypsy scored 8 nominations at the 2015 Tamworth Country Music Festival. A finalist in the Tamworth Salute Awards (TSA’s) & in the New Songwriter of the Year, Kath won Best Vocal/Musical Event in the People’s Choice Awards and received a Brumby Award for the 1st single “Even Cowgirls Sing the Blues” which hit #4 on the Australian Country Tracks Chart and #1 on the Tasmanian Official Top 30 Country Music Charts. She also won Best New Celtic Talent at the 2016 Australian Celtic Music Awards.

Sunsets and soothing sounds on the back deck of the Ocean Shores Country Club. This monthly event showcases mostly award winning artists in their genre. November features the talented Michelle Rose, arguably Australias finest on pedal steel, along with multi award winners Steve Passfield, Rod Coe, Clelia Adams and Rex Carter. Of course Ill be doing some hollering so looking forward to seeing you there for this awesome free event.

Dancing across rootsy blues,Django Reinhardt swing tunes,haunting Celtic Airs, and flat out bluegrass instrumentals, renowned Fiddler Mick Albeck (Paul Kelly, Kasey Chambers, Troy Cassar-Daley, Lee Kernaghan, Beccy Cole) & blues loving, Jazz trained guitarist/vocalist Hamish Dutton (Col Finley Band) return by popular demand to the Ocean Shores Country Club Sunday 15th September 1pm guesting at the newly managed clubs “Lazy Sunday with Kathryn Jones”. Our Sunday sessions have been growing in popularity and its my wish to have quality music in a relaxed, family friendly environment. I will also be playing some of my originals & covers warming the crowd with bassist Alan Brooker & guitarist/vocalist Neil McCann. Looking forward to seeing you for some songs 'n' sunsets on the back deck. Yee ha !
